A while ago, I learned a few interesting things about Indonesia.  First, Indonesians don't necessarily use their father's surname or mother's! They can even "make" their own family names.  Funnily enough, their names can be as simple as only one word or up to three words (perhaps more).

Second, if an Indonesian woman doesn't have a property, namely, a house, then she won't be able to marry herself off.  It's well-known that in Indonesia, women rather than men have to take care of their families.   Hence, when an Indonesian woman gets married, her husband will live with her and her family, too.  This is said to be common in rural areas in Indonesia because they need more men to help them with farms.  So if a man has four daughters, he and his wife may have to work hard in order to buy houses for their daughters' happiness.

I didn't know these videos exist until mid May.  Anyway, check them out if you want.  It was funny when I first watched them, but somehow, I feel that those people got too much time and nothing else to do.

I came across this essay on the subway, and I found it amusing.  Probably only Taiwanese people who are not from Taipei know why this essay is funny.  That's why I want to share it with you here:

I came across this video a few weeks ago, and honestly, I'm not sure what to say about it.  Crazy, huh?

01.THAT WAS PAINFUL!

To start with, I want to show you this photo, in which you can see how much Lewis loves acting, and he certainly has a bunch of ideas to make people laugh. These photos are mouseover, so you can move your cursor to see a larger size of these photos.

Some of you might have read one of my blog entries about a missionary called Lewis.  He served his mission in Taiwan until the end of September, and now he's back to his mother land.  Lewis uploaded some of his photos online, and courtesy of him, I'm delighted to share some of those photos with you guys.  Check them out if you want.  Believe me: it'll be your loss if you don't read this blog entry.  However, I must mind you: don't look at these pics in the blink of a night.  I don't want to make you laugh too hard and get too "high" after viewing these pics.

I watched this video a few days, and I found it incredibly amusing.  Check it out if you want.

It's said that on the first day a foreigner who started his Chinese class, he was almost dying. On his first class, the teacher wanted all of the students to remember the Chinese terms for these two words - "wife" and "husband".  Click on [read more] to learn about those terms... (I don't try to translate every single term, as it's quite hard.  Besides, it's definitely funnier to read the original words than translated ones.)
